NDT
All types of Industrial Radiography, Pre-heating & Stress Relieving Electric method and internal firing method. Also Ultrasonic Test, Thickness measurement, Magnetic Particle and Hardness Test.
Industrial Radiography
We provides radiographic services in both our laboratory and in the field at customer locations. Also,we provide high volume processing of film with a state-of-the-art ecologically friendly automatic processor. Our radio graphers are experienced in many different specialize techniques involving geometrically challenged parts.
Pre-heating & Stress Relieving
The following heat treatment processes are the most commonly used:
Annealing
Annealing is the process for softening materials or to bring about required changes in properties, such as machinability, mechanical or electrical properties, or dimensional stability. The annealing process consists of heating the steel to or near the critical temperature (temperature at which crystalline phase change occurs) to make it suitable for fabrication.
Normalizing
Normalizing is a heat treatment process for making material softer but does not produce the uniform material properties of annealing. A material can be normalized by heating it to a specific temperature and then letting the material cool to room temperature outside of the oven. This treatment refines the grain size and improves the uniformity of micro-structure and properties of hot rolled steel.
Stress Relieving
Stress Relieving consists of heating the steel to a temperature below the critical range to relieve the stresses resulting from cold working, shearing, or gas cutting. It is not intended to alter the micro-structure or mechanical properties significantly also a process for making material softer. However stress relieving does not change the material properties as does annealing and normalizing. A material can be stress relieved by heating it to a specific temperature that is lower than that of annealing or normalizing and letting it cool to room temperature inside or outside of the oven. This heat treatment is typically used on parts that have been severely stressed during fabrication.
Tempering & Case hardening
Tempering is carried out by preheating previously quenched or normalized steel to a temperature below the critical range, holding, and then cooling to obtain the desired mechanical properties.
Case hardening or Surface hardening is the process of hardening the surface of steel while leaving the interior unchanged.
Ultrasonic Testing (UT)
UT inspection system consists of several functional units, such as the pulser/receiver, transducer, and display devices. A pulser/receiver is an electronic device that can produce high voltage electrical pulses. Driven by the pulser, the transducer generates high frequency ultrasonic energy. The sound energy is introduced and propagates through the materials in the form of waves. Applications include inspections for voids, cracks, and laminations, inspections of welds and thickness measurements.
Positive Material Identification (PMI)
The ElvaX ProSpector operates under control of the HP iPAQ PDA with 4-inches high resolution touch-screen display, providing High flexibility and usability of the system. ElvaX ProSpector Hand Held XRF Alloy Analyzer ( PMI Machine ) used for the grade verification and sorting of ferrous metals and alloys.
Thickness Measurement
Ultrasonic thickness gauges measuring the time sound travels from the transducer through the material to the back end of a part, and then measures the time of reflection back to the transducer. The instruments that are used for he measurement are portable and light with possibilities of saving the measurements data in a data logger.
Magnetic Particle Testing – (MPT)
Magnetic particle inspection is a sensitive method of locating surface and some sub-surface defects in Ferro-magnetic components. The basics processing parameters depend on relatively simple concepts. In essence, when a ferro magnetic component is magnetized, magnetic discontinuities that lie in a direction approximately perpendicular to the field direction will result in the formation of strong ‘leakage field’ service gives all the above mentioned services with very systematic, calculated way to make the service flawless and qualitative.
